On Friday 1st September, we were privileged to be invited to The Candlelighters Awards 2017 at The Queens Hotel, Leeds. This was a fantastic event, celebrating the fund raising achievements of the past year. It was incredibly humbling to hear the lengths that people have gone to to support this fantastic charity and to hear more about what a difference this money makes for Yorkshire children and families, who are battling with cancer.
The ceremony was led by Charity Director, Joanne Shepheard, and awards were presented by Emmerdale star, Matthew Wolfenden. Our team were very proud to be nominated in two categories, but were absolutely delighted when we were announced to have won ‘Company of the Year’ against some very tough competition.
This recognition could not have been achieved without the dedication and commitment from our people and we would like to thank both Candlelighter’s for the honour and everyone at enact that has taken part in our fundraising efforts this year.
