Speedy processing, timely communication and accurate information provided throughout the remortgage process. The biggest convenience factor I found was the online case tracker where I could see how my case is progressing. The moment there is an update, I got an email informing that there is an update and I can check it on online case tracker. The staff was very friendly who answered all the queries. I would not hesitate to use them again and recommend them to my friends and family.

This really was a painless experience. The whole process is very easy through the web portal, it was done efficiently and our handler always responded promptly to all communications. Dates were in fact early and we are very pleased with the result. Very helpful!

First class service. The website is fantastic as you able to check to see what action has been taken with your case and view/upload any relevant documented. You are emailed an alert whenever someone works on your case and you can message the person who is working on your case directly from the website.

I would highly recommend using Enact.
Their online-based service is extremely time-efficient. The ability to upload certain documents rather than using traditional post speeds up the process dramatically. However, we were still given a named case-worker who was very helpful and always responded to our enquiries quickly.
I would definitely use Enact in the future.

Right from the offset from speaking to David Hoffman I was amazed at how quick and efficient the process of finding a mortgage was. On top of that the offer was accepted in principle, and within a couple of days formal mortgage offer. My case was passed to Liz Smith who's hard work and dedication ensured a smooth transition. All in all only took 3 weeks. Enact then took over the conveyancing and legal side and Belinda was amazing from start to finish. Enact certainly came across as being experts in this field.

I found the whole process from stat to finish, very efficient and easy to follow. If I had a question, either via the telephone or on the messaging service, the reply was always prompt and helpful. Easy to work with. Made the hole remortgage process accessible and easy. The online case tracker was a really good tool. If we had a question or didn't understand something we could message them out of hours through the case tracker or call them during office hours. Always got a friendly and helpful response. Best service I’ve received from a Conveyancing company. Their online portal keeps you up to date and is a simple and efficient way to review documents. If you have a question you submit it to your case handler, in our case Belinda, and she would respond within one day. Much better than the old school method of calling companies up. Final funds were transferred to me on the day of completion. I’d use them again.

Enact helped us through a particularly complex remortgage process. They were highly responsive to all of our questions and queries, clear at all times about the process, and knowledgeable. Great service - all online but with a named person I could message or get a call from if needed. Progress dashboard and document alerts were reassuring as was the activity monitor that showed what was happening at every stage. All documents could be loaded online so no need to send valuable documents by post. Thanks.

I remortgaged with first direct from another institution. The whole process was super smooth. I was sent the initial documentation rapidly. I was able to ask for my date of choice due to possible early redemption fees. My husband and daughter not on the mortgage were able to sign a form as they are not financially responsible for the property.
I did telephone about 2 weeks before the planned change and was ensured I would be contacted with completion date which was the date I wanted. I did have 9 weeks from start to finish by choice .

Possibly the easiest remortgage ever!
The whole process took less than a month from start to finish.
The Enact webpage used to keep you up to date on what is happening is well presented and easy to use, with regular updates on the progress of your case.
Contact details for the person dealing with your case are easy to find on the web page and makes it feel like a much more personal service.
The whole remortgage was dealt with quickly and efficiently by Enact and I would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future

We recently used Enact Conveyancing to remortgage our property. We hadn't done this before ourselves so were slightly worried about the process. Luckily Enact made the process entirely stress free - they are by far the best service we have used when dealing with property moves/taking our mortgages.
The online tracker worked brilliantly and made it so easy to keep updated of what was going on without having to take time away from work to take calls. The updates were regular and any queries I made were answered very quickly.
Anyone I spoke to was friendly, helpful and able to break complex info down into layman's terms which I very much appreciated!
Would definitely use them again and recommend highly.

Enact Conveyancing service for remortgage:
I am very pleased with the service I received from Enact for my remortgage. Having been frustrated in the past with the mortgage process due to lack of communication and delay response from the solicitor, I did do bit of a research this time before I chose Enact, thank god I did!
I couldn’t ask for more. The whole process went smoothly and there was always sense of urgency shown to complete the process rather than just leaving it hanging. Online portal was brilliant, regular email to check portal on any updates(always looked forward to those email), any questions asked been responded promptly. Most importantly the process was finished on time before I could start losing money on interest by going to variable mortgage with 4.99% APR with the previous provider. Glad I am on new fixed rate mortgage with new provider.

Brilliant service. I had stayed with my previous mortgage lender for several years as I thought it would be very difficult and time consuming to switch. Enact were offered to me by my new lender and the process from start to finish was very quick and easy. Everything was done online and I was notified by email when there were any progress updates. Flawless, as Remortgages proceed, our 2nd this year so far, with us wanting to forget the 1st, what a difference, with this Remortgage being by far the easiest and best service we have been fortunate to have, easily within the last few years.

We recently took out a mortgage with First Direct to undertake some works to our home. As usual working with First Direct is so easy, but they have now found a 'just like us' conveyancing partner in ENACT. I am 100% happy with the service I received from Enact. They were efficient, responsive, quick, and very polite. I've been a property investor for 30 years so I'm used to the conveyancing process for mortgaging/remortgaging/buying and selling. I can honestly say Enact are among the very best conveyancers I've used in all that time. I don't know why some of their reviews are negative - we can only speak from our own experience - but I'm guessing that some people don't understand the process, or maybe they don't have the necessary documents/information ready to provide when they are asked for. Either way, I am really impressed.

A First rate service, the online portal was very easy to use, & to upload documents to.
I received a response from my Case Handler as soon as he had received the documents, and any requests for paperwork to be uploaded were made first thing in the morning, which meant I could get documents sent off to Enact, then get on with my day.
A pleasure dealing with Enact from start to finish & the process was completed very quickly.

During the process of applying for a remortgage I was contacted via email about the company enact, who would be handling my case. Dubious as I always have been I was concerned as to who this company was and wondered how they got my details. I quickly realised that they were a legit company acting on behalf of the bank that was dealing with my mortgage.
All the contact from enact was via email except for mail via post when it came to signing the papers at the end. This was perfect for me because I hate being bombarded with post and mail. I was updated via email whenever there was an activity on my account, thus I was prompted to sign in and basically 'check out' the progress. This was an amazing service which meant that I did not have to worry or concern myself with the progress, not even in the slightly; and I'm a born worrier.
I had the need to contact enact once via phone as I was unsure how to complete a particular question, the support was precise, to the point and the gentleman was friendly and professional.
To top off a great service, my mortgage deal was completed in the timescale specified.
On of the most straight forward hassle free service I have received in a long time.

Enact were the appointed Legal Services firm for my Buy 2 Let Re-mortgage application via Godiva Building Society. I had not used Enact before but I was aware of them from previous career in UK banking. We have just completed our remortgage and the process from mortgage offer to completion has taken 10 days which I think is testament to the streamlined process procedures Enact have in place. Our case was handled by Amy Alton who kept us updated with progress every step of the way and, on the odd occasion I had a query, Amy responded quickly and effectively.

Dealt with Enact as part of a remortgage. The lender appointed them to act on the legal work. Found them to be very responsive and extremely quick. If the case handler isn't available you always have someone to speak to. Their online portal was helpful. It provides a status update which increases in % as the process moves forward and also allows for you to message the case handler and upload documents. The whole process took less than 3 weeks. Very impressed!

These guys were appointed by Nationwide to do the conveyancing on my re-mortgage. It was small value so straightforward, but even so was done with speed and efficiency.
There is an online progress tracker that not only tells you where you are in the process in more or less real time, but enables the sending and receiving of documents and other information, and the ability to message or arrange a Skype call with the person handling your case. You also get email and text alerts every time there is progress so you don't have to keep checking it.
Would definitely use them again if the need arose.

I can highly recommend Enact ,they were very clear and precise with all communication. There were follow up telephone calls and emails to ensure all was moving correctly and if there were any questions. The paper work was easy to complete and where there were precise instructions to complete a form there were examples to make sure you could understand.
When speaking to any member of the team they were always polite and professional and answered any concerns .I can't recommend them enough.

This Company came with the free legals package of a remortgage. I hadn't come across them before but the remortgage was handled efficiently and fairly quickly - 4 weeks - so I have nothing to complain about. Maybe a little duplication of correspondence/emails but nothing detrimental. I would definitely use them again.

This is the first time that I have received such an excellent service on an important financial matter such as moving mortgage to a different bank. At stressful times like this, one needs plenty of timely, accurate and expert advice given in simple terms that is palatable to a layperson. This is what I received from Enact. The webpage is fantastically straightforward and helpful and you can always talk to an adviser with a direct call without going through cumbersome stages. I wish I could get a similar service for my other financial matters.

Enact have an online tracker so you can always see what's going on at any time. The team are quick to reply to messages that you leave on the tracker so you don't have to waste time on the phone. Can't recommend them enough. They made my transfer of equity and remortgage a stress free experience. And their costs were really reasonable as well.

I thought the process and the service was very good. The staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. Everything was done on line which gave me a very steep learning curve in getting information from one place to another , but I was helped with this which made it less painful!! The only criticism I have is that towards the end of the process I was left waiting for news and had to ring up a few times to find out what was going on. Each time new information was required which made me anxious, but everything was dealt with speedily after that. I think this was because I was given a new case manager. All in all I am as happy as can be with the people I spoke to and with the process. I would recommend your company very happily.

Everything set up very quickly. The whole process was painless and virtually all done on line. Any paperwork was sent out promptly. Every time there was movement in the process an email was sent. Enact came as part of a mortgage package. The remortgage circumstances were not straight forward to say the least and also involved liaising with an uncooperative out going party. Enact were great. They persevered, ensured I was updated clearly about what was happening. They answered messages through their portal quickly. I'm not the most technically gifted but even I managed to upload documents. Completion happened when they said it would. Equity transfer team were great. Would recommend. Many thanks enact.

Excellent service from Enact with our remortgage that has just completed. Right from the start I received a phone call introducing themselves. The online portal is brilliant, it allows you to view documents and messages as well as see how many times your case has been looked at & what percentage has been completed. I had a query regarding the mortgage deeds so decided to send a message through the portal. Now usually from other companies you never get a response so I was skeptical, but I received a reply within the hour. The whole transaction was smooth and quick. Although my circumstances were as straight forward as expected, I was kept in the loop at all times, I never needed to make contact to find out how things were going. Dealing with conveyancing professionals on a daily basis, through my job, and having little faith in any, I was amazed at how swiftly and easily my own affairs were sorted by enact. I had all I needed at the touch of a button on my PC through "my account" and was kept informed all the way. I am currently going through the process of remortgaging with Enact providing conveyancing services as part of the deal from my lender. Initially the service was good, I received an introduction call and the paperwork in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, things haven't remained quite so positive.
Having called last week asking for an update (as I hadn't had one for weeks, this could partly be down to the lender being slow too) I was told that they were only waiting for the redemption certificate from my current lender. Today, exactly one week later, I called again to ask for an update (a theme occurring...) and was told they had the redemption certificate, but they didn't have the mortgage deed on file!?
The worst part about it, this will more than likely cost me £800 (the difference between my current mortgage and the new one)! All I'm told they can do about it is check if the mortgage deed is in the post room or re-issue it... I guess one can only hope that it miraculously appears and things move forward quickly.
I have emailed Enact asking for an explanation and the process of claiming compensation if I do suffer a financial loss due to their error.
UPDATE: Having been contacted by Enact after writing this review, they have apologized for the situation, sent a new mortgage deed in the post and requested a next day completion for our remortgage, which I'm happy to say completed one day before I would have suffered a major financial loss. Their response was good, but the situation shouldn't have happened in the first place. Due to their positive response I have changed my review from 2 stars to 3 stars.

Any concerns I had were dealt with professionally and all staff were polite and friendly. Also it was very easy to contact them on the telephone and they were always willing to help. I thought originally as the process was paper based, it would be less efficient than using the online portal of another conveyancing that the mortgage provider had allocated to me for another mortgage I was securing at the same time, however how wrong I was.
The process was extremely efficient. Just one hiccup in that Enact refused to email me a document and said they could only post it. We paid for recorded delivery and it has still not arrived to this day. Eventually they then did email the document. This caused a lot of unnecessary stress and was ridiculous in this day and age as it was obviously more secure than the post on this occasion
Once papers signed, everything then went smoothly & efficiently. Professional and helpful staff on every occasion I telephoned.

After initially being told that a remortgage and tranfer of equity could take 6-8 weeks I was very concerned. But after explaining the urgency of the request I got an immediate response. Brogan and Luke were incredibly professional, polite and responsive and the whole process was completed in 9 days. That took a lot of commitment from us too but the team at Enact certainly responded really well to the urgency of the request. Top marks for a great job!!!!!

We were recommended Enact Conveyancing through a friend and were told they would be a great option for us buying our first property, and boy were they right. Our conveyancer Abbey to care of our case once all of our initial paperwork was sent off. The entire process was outlined to us in a clear a methodical way, which was supported by the excellent online portal with instant messaging, document repository and activity and progress to completion tracker.
Given it was our first property, we were obviously anxious about the whole process given the many horror stories out there and unresponsive solicitors. But Abbey most definitely smashed the old misconception with great communication on a sometimes daily basis and when we needed a response most. If she wasn't available, the team at enact were quick to respond or get Abbey to call back.
Another thing to note for first time buyers, a lot of the painful and confusing paperwork is done upfront so you don't have to worry once you've completed. Just be prompt with responses and Abbey & team will get everything across to the vendors quickly.
Excellent value for money for the quality of service provided with results. Enact Conveyancing would certainly be my first choice in the future.

The solicitor managing the purchase of my new home was Abbey and she was great. What I thought was going to be an easy process turned out to be very frustrating dealing with my lender and the sellers solicitor. Throughout all this Abbey persevered, chased things daily, responded to my queries promptly, calmed my frustrations, and eventually managed to push things over the line. I am sure they were sick of me in the end as I was calling daily for updates however I was always able to get through immediately and be passed to Abbey or alternatively if Abbey wasn’t available I would receive a prompt response via the online portal. I’d fully recommend Enact for conveyancing, and I would definitely use them again. I’d also request Abbey T.

Anyone who has taken a mortgage knows how complicated the conveyancing process could be -- ah ha - but that is if you choose the wrong firm.

I recently switched mortgage providers and Enact handled the transaction for me. They have a really easy to use site where you can track your progress and see what is happening, and when. I was really impressed with Enact's efficiency throughout the whole process, they were proactive throughout and brought the transfer date forward by four days, ensuring that the additional interest from my previous mortgage suppliers, at the end of the fixed rate term, was kept at a minimum, I only paid one days additional interest and this was due to the fixed date ending on a Sunday. Annie and her team provided a very easy transparent service, my mortgage was complete within 2 weeks!
Someone always answered the phone within 10 seconds, uk based call centre, all my questions were answered promptly and I was kept up to date every step of the way, even when Annie wasn't available her colleagues knew everything from notes to be able to assist and never was I told they couldn't help.
I highly recommend enact to anyone they also have a online system where you can check status and you get alerts with updates, easiest transaction by far and took the stress out of such a huge commitment.
To be honest I had never heard of enact previously and I will say that I will use them again in the future and will recommend family and friends as it simply just couldn't be easier!

I had a very positive experience with Enact Conveyancing. The bank with which we re-mortgaged retained Enact. A person from Enact contacted me by telephone soon after to introduce the company and explain what would happen next. They then offered me the option of using their online case tracker. This turned out to be a brilliant tool. As I have a toddler at home, I find it difficult to make telephone calls during normal working hours. The online case tracker allowed me to log on and monitor the status of my mortgage application at a time that was convenient for me. It also allowed me to check that they had received documents I posted without my having to telephone.

My whole experience from the beginning to the end with Enact has been a very positive one. Each and every member of staff that I spoke to was an absolute pleasure to speak to. They were helpful and patient when helping me to understand some of the forms I needed to fill in. Anytime they needed to get back to me with information they did so in the timescale that they had promised. My experience with Enact is a great example of decent customer service during what could potentially be a stressful time. A very efficient, speedy and courteous service from start to finish. Enact handled my case professionally, dealt with with everything necessary and handled a specific issue that arose swiftly and effectively. If there is a criticism that would be the not so efficient (somewhat rushed and inaccurate) valuation of the property. Although it did not affect my mortgage application, it could have created problems elsewhere due to how low the property was valued.
Overall, a great service and highly recommended.

The taking out of a mortgage is not a 'simple' or necessary a 'given' experience for most people. I found the communications and updates with the team and my case manager succinct and helpful. I had no trouble in completing my re-mortgage through this company. When I telephoned the person who answered was courteous and knew immediately why I had telephoned them (often at their request). The whole transaction was smooth, painless and delivered within the time frame. No waiting, no hassle. I can endorse this business as one i would se again.

Enact were very efficient and kept me up to date with the process of my mortgage. When I asked for someone to contact me they did at the time and with the method I asked for. My mortgage was completed within the timescale I expected only delayed by myself taking time to get things signed or printed off. Daniel Craig was the member of staff that over saw the final stages of the mortgage and he contacted me to give me the news. I appreciated his patience and help with the completion of my mortgage.

I was well informed throughout the process and the company's dashboard was simple to understand and made it easy to know what was required next. What a fantastic service! My broker didn't sound sure when she told me Enact were doing the conveyancing, but I was chuffed with the experience. They have a brilliant system which lets you see exactly where things are in the process, it also has a document repository where you can upload stuff and you can read letters from them. You are assigned a case handler by name, and you can message them through the system as well as book a call on the phone. They hand held us through the technical bits, and were proactive in keeping us updated. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again in future, or recommend them to others.
