Next week enact will be attending a meeting of the Conveyancing Association at Lloyds of London focussing primarily on Cyber Fraud and the current issues and emerging threats.
enact are proud to be active members of The Conveyancing Association which has been established to ensure that the top specialist UK Conveyancers have an effective voice in the conveyancing industry. Its members are made up of the Solicitors and Licensed Conveyancers that collectively undertake approximately 25% of all residential property transactions in England and Wales.
As members of the Conveyancing Association we work proactively to improve the conveyancing process and to formulate and implement best practice throughout the industry. The Strategic Plan set out by the Conveyancing Association focuses on providing swifter certainty that a transaction will proceed, greater protection against fraud, and improved communication between all parties and these are points that enact 100% support.
enact attended a recent meeting of the Conveyancing Association at the House of Commons where progress on the proposals for Leasehold Reform were discussed. The proposals for Leasehold Reform have passed the first sift of the Law Commission’s 13th Programme of Law Reform; a second sift is due to take place by the end of May with final approved projects being put before the Lord Chancellor for a decision by July.
We are pleased to be associated with a group of like minded firms who seek to make positive changes to the conveyancing process.
